Arica Tamayo

Arica Tamayo is a professional dancer and teacher based in Toronto, ON. Beginning at the age of 5 years old, she has trained in styles such as Hip Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary. In recent years, Arica has trained with leading dance companies in Toronto, including 2.0 Company and Kode Red Company. Currently, Arica shares her love of dance through her roles as a Program Director at Vybe Dance Company and Faculty at Studio North Toronto.

Arica’s movement style is characterized by her cleanliness, power, and versatility. Always looking for opportunities to embrace different aspects of foundations and technique in her choreography and classes. As an educator, Arica strives to create an environment where individuals can continuously learn, build confidence, and find a safe space through dance.
