Chantelle Mostacho.
Chantelle Mostacho (she/ her) is a Filipino-Canadian multi-disciplinary dance artist, choreographer, and educator with over 25 years of experience.
She has trained extensively in classical styles such as ballet, jazz, and modern, and holds a BFA in Theatre Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University. Over the last decade, she has explored various street dance styles, with a strong focus on punking/whacking/waacking for the past eight years.
Chantelle is widely recognized for her powerful artistic voice in both freestyle and choreography. She draws inspiration from the rhythms of everyday life— human connection, emotion, memory, and transformation—continually exploring how these lived experiences can be expressed and translated into movement. Her versatility has led to successful collaborations across theatre, film, and commercial platforms, where she continues to push creative boundaries and craft compelling, resonant stories through dance.
Her choreographic work has been showcased through platforms such as Studio 6, Fever After Dark, and 1234 Dance Arts, and has also been featured in productions by Toronto Dance Theatre and CanAsian Dance. Other performance credits include: Warner Music, Johnny Orlando, Finger Eleven, Bassnectar, NANU, Cadence Weapon, TIFF, The Bentway, TEDxWomen, Cozmic Love Toronto, Cherry Bomb Pride, MICHI NY.
Chantelle is also a devoted leader in Toronto’s wh/aacking community, where she actively nurtures both the culture and the next generation of dancers. She passionately shares her knowledge through her weekly classes, open sessions and guest workshops/programs across the GTA. Her work is rooted in creating inclusive, supportive spaces where dancers can grow artistically, build confidence, and connect with one another in meaningful ways.
